The history began during times of [PL] SUPEREMEDIA server in Counter-Strike: Source PC game. In that moment some players greatly very affected by server statistics. The only thing they would care was their rank and – optionally – kill per death ratio. Even skilled players did that. They waited in spectator mode for free slots in easier or just a winning team, while avoiding teams which didn’t have much chances to win or own their opponents. Those people also preferred most powerful weapons. Camping? Hell yeah. They played caring only for themselves, treating enemy players like bots, not actual people with feelings. This situation irritated me and in the result I started my small protest, to manifest that player can give a fight in weak teams and have fun anyway. That way I created clan and named it Assault Support Team.
Randy Katana was the second clan member and Hejduk joined as another one. Since August 29th 2006 official web forum has been set up. During 2 years of activity there were some changes in the squad. The basis was that each candidate had to gain majority in time-limited voting. AST fellowship reached maximally 10 players. Unfortunately, during my half year long break (for FOnline PC game) the group disbanded. You can still, however, encounter some players wielding [AST] tag.
